January, What Happened?

January has been busy to the point where even when I have time to write, I don’t because I’m exhausted. Work, and commuting to and from work each day, really takes a lot out of me. There’s not much else to say in that area except I can describe my job by quoting Tom Smykowski from Office Space and that’s a little depressing.

Earlier this month, one of my best friends got married and I happened to be the Best Man. In was a nice ceremony and reception but it was weird to realize, once again, that I’m at marrying age.

On a(n) (un)related note, I started dating a wonderful girl this month. That’s all you’ll get out of me.

I’m trying to get a group of people together who want to play D&D with me. I’m learning the ins and outs of it all so I can DM the games. It’s hard finding people who don’t think they’re above it, and don’t already play. My thought is that I find some people new to the game and we can figure it all out together and not have to worry about feeling like we know nothing compared to that one guy who knows everything. That’s not as crazy as it sounds, right?

Finally, it just keeps getting closer to motorcycle season and I’m really getting excited for it. We have had some warm days on and off this month and I managed to find one bearable enough to pull the Nighthawk out for a ride. In retrospect, I shouldn’t have worn my finger-less riding gloves but it was still a great feeling riding the bike. It just makes car rides so boring.
