Just another day

This is my third attempt at writing a review of the past decade. Let me tell you, it isn’t easy. Reviewing a single year is tough enough. I am going to try anyway. Be warned, I will be throwing a bunch of numbers at you so this isn’t intended for the numerophobias out there.

It’s been 10 years since the last new decade. That’s 3,653 days. 87,672 hours. 5,260,320 minutes. 315,619,200 seconds.

In those 10 years, this site has been around for a little more than 2 years, 26 months to be exact. That time has amounted to 298 comics. I have written 163 blogs. And I have spent countless hours tinkering with and redesigning the website.

Ten years ago I could not drive. I have since been issued 3 driver licenses and 1 driving permit. I have bought 1 truck, 1 car and 2 motorcycles. The truck died, the car was sold and I have only rode 1 of the motorcycles.

These 10 years have seen me in 3 different schools. Throughout these schools, I have lived in 5 different places, moving 7 times.

Unfortunately, I have not kept track of the number of books I have read or the words I have written. But I can confidently say that I have read each of the first 3 Harry Potter books more than 15 times. The same goes for Ender’s Game. If I had my stories with me in a Word document, I am pretty sure that the past two years would total nearly 100 pages.

Those numbers being said, let’s look at the future.

In the next 10 years I will graduate from college. I will look for a full time job. I will move away from home and live on my own.

In 10 years I will have passed the age of 30. My parents will no longer be more than twice my age. And my brother will be a year away from running for president (if he wants).

My cat, Marley, will be reaching old age though I doubt she will be slowing.

All of this being said, goodbye to the naughts. Welcome Teens!
