To be afraid

Natural isn’t always best for animals, either. It’s filled with hunger, frustration, exhaustion, weariness, dilapidation, trouble, and death. My professor once recounted a conversation she had with a philosophy student about wild animals. The student said, “There’s a fire in the eyes of a wild mustang that you don’t see in a tamed horse!”, to which my professor responded, “That’s called ‘fear’.”–via Penn Nox

There was much more to this post and in reality I have taken a lot of the meaning away from it by only giving you this excerpt. But I thought it was something worth sharing.
