Christmas Recap

Other than my niece nearly breaking my nose, Christmas this year was a fairly good few days.

We started the weekend off by going out to eat with my cousin, my aunt, and my cousin’s boyfriend. We had never met my cousin’s boyfriend before but he was absolutely delightful. He had wanted to see a Badger game while he was in town so we went to the basketball game against Florida A&M. Badgers won, by a lot, and our seats were the absolute worst, but in a fun way.

Christmas Eve started out great with Ellie loving her gift of a DSLR camera. She got me a book on tobacco growing and curing which I’ve been trying to find for over a year and also a book on sausage making which I’m excited to try now that I have one batch under my belt.

We went to my parents’ house for Christmas Eve. My brother, sister, parents, cousin, and aunt plus all their signature ificant others and children were there. We ate a bunch, made jokes at each other’s expense, and overall had a good time. We did a secret Santa this year and my brother got me, and hit the nail on the head. He got my a glasses hold which I’m in dire need of and a hydroponics basically kit. Can’t wait to try that!

My neice launched off my foot into my face while I was trying my boot to leave. Guess she didn’t want me to go.

We went to Ellie’s parents’ house for Christmas day. Which we started with a truly to church for mass. It was packed and then got even more packed after the homily when a load of people shuffled in. The guess is that they were coming for mass at a normal time.

We had turkey for dinner and opened gifts. Ellie a mom got my a book on gardening all through cooking and I can’t wait to read that. Also, some very nice new clothes. After dinner we played a round of the Oregon trail and even with cheating, we couldn’t beat it. That darned card game is so flawed.

All in all, it was a fantastic Christmas.
