A Triumphant Return…?

I feel like a lot of the time, I write about the things that I want to happen. Things I am planning to do or say will come to pass just because I put my mind to it. Looking back at posts, I rarely ever seem to follow through with things as planned. I have not been able to keep the motivation I have when I first write something, so maybe a different approach is in order.

I started riding the bus this week. It’s gotten too cold to lug myself on a bike to and from work every day. The darkness in the evening has become a hazard too, even with my overly bright bike lights. And most importantly, I’m worn out from the past seven or eight months of biking and walking and running. The bus is a nice, easy resting period for me. Like a winter hibernation.

Since I’ll be on the bus twice a day for the next few months. I want to try to check in more often (shit, isn’t this what I just said I wouldn’t do back in the first paragraph?). When I check in, I’ll try to recap what’s has happened and not what I think will happen. I just want to start a better record of my life. Kind of like what this site used to be.

I also want to change it up a bit. I want to be more honest. Writing online for years helped me develop a filter and a way of writing that painted only a pretty picture. I want to write more of the raw story. Less doctored to make me look better. We’ll see if that happens.
