Peace Corps Ukraine Group 39 COS

Peace Corps / Saturday, September 29th, 2012

So much has happened in the past week and I want to write about all of it now, but I think I’ll spread it out over a few days because each thing deserves personal recognition.

The week started with our flag football tournament, but I’ll write about that later once I steal photos from Jeramie and because it’s a lesser event of the week. After the tournament, Peace Corps Ukraine Group 39 gathered for our Close/Continuation of Service conference. It was the first time we’ve all been together in two years and it was nice to see most everyone (there’s always that one person you could do without).

The conference was a way to give us the information we’d need about the upcoming months. We learned about the paperwork that’d be required of us. We learned about our post-Peace Corps options and benefits. Most importantly, we learned when we’d be going home.

For those of you interested, I’ll be back in the United States on November 27, 2012. Get excited. And for those of you also interested, there will be no Danny-a-Palooza like there was a year ago. Let’s assume we’ve all grown up. Let’s also assume that the party doesn’t need an official name and social media invitation. And finally, let’s assume you know if you’re invited or not. But yeah, as of press time, that’s only 59 days from now.

Here’s a great shot of Peace Corps Ukraine, Group 39:
