November – Day 20

Blog / Sunday, November 20th, 2011

I’ve made it through twenty days already this month, even though my plans might kill a lesser man. I’ve become a better man, a stronger man, and a man of many words. But my journey isn’t over yet; I’m only pausing it to write this as I listen to my stir fry simmer on the stove (it sounds like a strong rain on a warm summer day).

Today’s challenge in my 30 Day Challenge is to perform service. I’m going to argue that today is a day of rest. Why? Two words, Peace Corps. If you have a beef with that, take it up in the comments.

I haven’t gotten to writing yet today. I got back from Kiev around 3:00PM today and I’ve tried to catch up with some other work so far. I’ll hopefully get to it later tonight, but I still have a newsletter to write before I get to the NaNoWriMo writing.

Push ups and sit ups are behind because of my travelling also. I want to get to them today, but my neck has ached from sleeping on an air mattress last night. An aching neck just makes doing push ups and sit ups less appealing.

And since it’s Sunday, I made sure to shave. The picture doesn’t do it justice, but it’s starting to look like a mustache. I’m considering growing a beard starting next month and leaving the mustache so the beard can grow in around it. Here’s the progress so far:
