Are you looking to start a blog to share your experiences in Ukraine with friends and family back home? Do you already have a blog? Does your blog have a password? It should if you aren’t having your regional manager check over your blog posts before you post them. This issue will explain how to password protect your blog.

Blogger

There is only one option to password protect Blogger posts. This method requires you to invite specific people to read your blog and everyone without an invite cannot read it. To do this, open the “Settings” tab from the dashboard and choose “Permissions”. Under the “Blog Readers” heading, choose “Only People I Choose,” enter the email addresses of people you’d like to invite to read your blog. Press “Invite”.

Google Groups

If you are using Google Groups, you can either set the password when you first create the group by choosing the “Restricted” option. Or you can change the settings once the group has been created. To do this, choose the “Group Settings” tab on the right side of the page. On the settings page, choose the “Access” tab. Change “Who can view” to “Only members can view group content” and save your changes. You may also want to adjust the “Who can join?” and the “Who can post messages?” options for even more security. Then, choose “Members” from the right-hand side of the page. On this page you will invite people to have access to your group. Click the “+Invite New Members” button. Enter the email addresses in the box and click “Invite members”.

WordPress

WordPress posts are protected on a post-by-post basis. While you are writing your post, on the right-hand side near the top in the “Publish” box there should a “Visibility” option. Click “Edit” and choose “Password Protected”. Enter a password into the box. Press “OK”. You will need to set a password on every post you wish to protect.
