November – Day 9

Blog / Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

Today was one of those long days where I ended up doing next to nothing. I got a lot of reading done and I’m close to finishing A Feast for Crows. But I seem to have fallen behind in my other endeavors for today.

I spent an unusual amount of time chatting with a girl online, helping her with some Kindle issues. Though this is a stretch, I’ll mark this up as the closest I’ll come to fulfilling today’s 30 Day Challenge. Today, I have to take a woman on a date.

I’m going to start making excuses, so be ready. I live in Ukraine. The Americans in Ukraine that I’d ask on a date are hours away (sorry to my Konotop ladies). The Americans in America that I’d ask on a date are even further away, though travelling to them might be easier (sorry American girls, I don’t have the dough to come and romance you for an evening). I’m not looking to get involved with a Ukrainian and I don’t want to give the wrong idea (sorry every single Ukrainian girl obsessed with me).

I do wonder, however, what happens if a girl says no to a date. I know this is completely uncommon, given my personal track record, but it must happen to some people. I wouldn’t like it if I was the fifth girl asked by a guy for this challenge. Just saying. Though the guy who asks the fifth girl for a date definitely has commitment to the challenge.

So for me, no date today. I toyed with the idea of asking someone if, given different circumstances, they’d go on a date with me but I haven’t decided if I want to do that just yet.

Moving on. Given that I’ve procrastinated all day and I wasn’t home most of the day, my novel hasn’t moved since yesterday. I’m going to write once I publish this.

I bought some new hand soap at the store today because my hands have smelled funky the past couple days, despite me washing them thoroughly. The soap helped temporarily. I wonder if I’m eating too many onions or something and I’ve started to smell like the food I’ve been eating. I’ll let you know if I figure it out.

I think that about covers today.
