I have a few updates and thoughts in case anyone cares.

Motorcycle Update: Geoff will be driving me to take a look at the new KZ650 this Sunday. Assuming the bike is in decent running shape, I plan to buy. The man who I am buying from has been quite kind in the process so far. He has held the bike until I am able to view it because I have shown a good amount of sincere buying interest. Also, because the weather is still quite below freezing, he agreed to hold on to the bike for me for another month until I am able to pick it up. Needless to say, I can’t wait until it is one month from now.

To kill the time and to get around while I am waiting for the KZ650, I will be picking up my Nighthawk in two weeks. I just need a motorcycle to ride.

Heat Update: Half of our apartment is still without heat. Unfortunately, my room is in that half. It appears that my room might be connected today. I will find out when I get home this evening. Otherwise, they are projecting that sometime next week the whole building (14 apartments) will be heated once again.

As a result, we do not have to pay for utilities for the month of March (which makes sense because heat is one of our utilities) and our rental company claim that they will be providing further reimbursements. Personally I want to know how much I will get compensated for extreme emotional distress due to loss of sleep because of the construction. Without exaggerating, Tuesday I didn’t have my morning class so I could sleep late. However, someone from the construction crew knocked on my door at nine in the morning. I asked for a minute so I could get out of bed and grab what I needed to be out of their way. They never came back. They woke me up and then left. That is my emotional distress.

I acquired a new domain today, http://www.dannyzawacki.com. At the time of posting this, the link doesn’t work (EDIT: The link points to Sassyhacksaws.com). I think I will use this as a professional front for my web design. I mean seriously, who doesn’t need an online portfolio/resume?

I have a reason to suit up tonight. A friend of mine needed a date to her ROTC Military Ball. I am more than happy to accompany her. The only downside is that I didn’t realize at the time that it’s taking place on a Friday during Lent and I opted for the sirloin option. Oh well, one of these years I will fulfill my Catholic goal of abstaining from meat on Fridays during Lent. If anything exciting happens tonight, I will be sure to write about it.

You may have noticed, if you follow my Twitter, that I have been working on backing up my tweets in a database. Currently, I have the code working. Well, working as far as I can tell. So if for some reason the site gives an error message while loading, I blame it on the tweets. As a teaser, the Twitter backup is part of a new site design I am working on in my spare time. There is no estimated date of deployment.

On a final note, I noticed that I partake in a computer society faux pas. You know how you are told by the IT guys that you shouldn’t post your username and passwords on your desk? Well, I do. I count four separate logins from where I am sitting. I think there might be another one or two buried on my desk. The only upsides to this are the facts that I don’t write what the logins are for on the post-its and I write the passwords in a shorthand (just enough to remember which password it is). Is it still possible to consider what I am doing wrong?
