Left the starting gate

Just a quick update on November events.

I am still growing facial hair. I think the past few years I gave in and shaved by this point. I think I will make it to the end of the month.

I am still working on my NaNoWriMo novel. I haven’t surpassed last year’s grand total of thirteen thousand some odd words (which by the way was written in five days apparently), but I am nearing there. I am way behind where I should be for this point in the month, but I haven’t given up. So that’s something. I have a good feeling that I won’t be able to get all 50,000 words this month and it will topple over into next month. I think this is fine, as long as I finish.

As for which one is longer, the beard or the novel? Well the beard is averaging an eight of an inch in length right now(if I were to guess). The novel is currently at 8948 words. I think the beard was winning until this past weekend. Now the novel leads.

One final note. Bowling for Soup is in town this weekend and since I live two blocks from the concert venue, I am definitely going. So are a large group of friends, but they don’t matter.
