Wrapping it up

What a crazy weekend. For starters I figured out why I thought that the Firefox stylesheet was working and now isn’t. So i guess that point I got a few days ago is moot.

Last night was a haze of 1920s murder mystery/rave in the den/movie night in my room. I think that might have been more things done in one night than done all semster. Wasn’t too shabby.

Looking back to Thursday, I received two items in the mail. One of which is being used as I type, the other is not. I finally broke down and purchased a new keyboard. My old one I have had as long as I have had a computer of my own, which is five or six years. The keys have been sticking and it didn’t match everything else on my computer. I bought a laptop style keyboard for my desktop, I highly recommend it.

The other item received was a All-in-One printer scanner fax CD/DVD photo printer. It was a good investment, though I found out too late that I didn’t need a new one so much. When I took the old one out I found that there were about 20 sheets of paper that were jammed into it. So if anyone is looking to buy a printer, drop me a line and we can work something out.

I’ve been doing a mix of studying and drawing this weekend when I get the chance. The studying is boring and the drawing is enlightening. I realized a few things about what I can do. I might start scanning stuff in and posting it in a new section if I get around to it. I might need to find some fixative though, some of the drawings are being done in charcoal.

Speaking of charcoal, I found out that it isn’t as bad as I thought. Just messy.

Pencil is still my forte.

I had a little trouble coming up with monday’s comic, which worries me. I had an idea yesterday or the one before, but forgot to write it down. Charles Schultz said that if you can’t come up with an idea quickly, then comics aren’t for you because if this is what you want to do, you will have to do it over and over again. I paraphrase.

Luckily for me, it took less than a half hour and I had a drawing down, took a little longer to come up with the wording. Once I was done I had something that seems to be shaping a storyline in my head. Though I am not sure I will start it right away. I like the random, daily fun.

On a quick side note, I finally got around to watching Across the Universe. Excellent movie, for what they were doing. Check it out if you like the Beatles.
