Working on Myself

Blog, Books, Writing

I wouldn’t say that I’m a New Years resolution kind of guy, but I do find it to be a convenient way to quit or start something cold turkey. The new year tends to give me a boost with its defined beginning. I can plan and plan and plan, but if I don’t tell myself […]

Keeping track of programming projects over the years

Blog, Computers, Writing

I know for years and years I’ve teased different programming projects, among others, I’m working on here (hell, this website was initially a programming project–I wrote an entire blogging platform from scratch as a proof of concept; it was primitive, but I loved the software and only switch to WordPress as it was easier to […]

I Never Was Good at the Processes of Writing

Blog, Writing

I really need to find the motivation to finish my novel draft and then start outlining my Peace Corps book. I just can’t and I keep coming up with excuses for “better” things to do. Somebody please help. For example, last month I wanted to write 30,000 words to finish my novel. I started and […]

Project Advancements due to Open Source

Blog, Writing

I’ve been a supporter of the open source community for a long time. This project requires a lot of programming functions which I could spend weeks painstakingly researching and writing and debugging. Proposed Writing Retreat

Peace Corps, Writing

If you remember last year, I had an ambitious November. I wanted to take 30 days to make myself a better man, and I did. I wanted to do 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups each day, and I did. I also wanted to complete NaNoWriMo, and I did. It was ambitious and by the end I was absolutely drained […]

Writing Short Things Again

Blog, Writing

I haven’t been doing a lot of writing lately, novel or blog. I don’t have much of a reason other than I’ve been going into school for a few hours this past week. Actually, that makes for a great excuse. If I’m going in to school, I’m not going to drink coffee which is essential […]

A Novel Idea

Writing

Hey, hey guys. Guess what? This notebook: Is completely full of my novel. That’s right, all 96 pages (front and back) have been written in. Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself: Now I have roughly 40,000 words left to write in my new notebook. I’ve kinda been busy lately. I mean, in a […]
